The problem with kids.

The problem with kids is that they have problems.
Learning problems, family problems. Problems that break your heart,
but you just can't fix them for them.
Zo Win Tho and his sister Me Pyu A,  for example. He is eight, she is five. Or that is the vicinity of their ages. Mom and Dad work on the Similan Islands, and these two stay with an uncle and various extended family. About thirty people in fact, in a room about the size of our English room. His parents send money each month to help out, but the kids are mostly on their own. We realized today they both have lice. Send them home for a shampoo? Sure we can, but they'll have it again in a day or so. Everybody shares bedding, in a situation like that. Both have learning problems. So slow to pick things up. They both try, that isn't the problem. But it just doesn't stick. Today Me Pyu A asked Bidya if she could live with her. They live in the same size place, but it is just her and Gospel. A dream come true, probably. Bidya told her she would pray about it. And it is doubtful that these are the only two in this situation. Just throwaways, and I started to say "especially bad and dangerous for a little girl"-- but in this day and age just as much for a young boy. Pray for them.
